The Service Material Rates tab is used to create , view and preview material rates defined at the service level of the customer account. The defined material rates will be used to calculate the amount a customer will be charged when a disposal ticket is created against the service. Each entry has an effective date so price changes can be entered in advance and will automatically replace the preceding price on the effective date. Service Material Rates will override the prices set up for the site and disposal facility. Also see Related Tasks.
Facility: Default disposal facility for disposal tickets created for this service.
Material: Default material for disposal tickets created for this service.
Material grid will populate with existing materials and rates for this service. Include Historic/Future Items will display all rates when selected.
- Click Create Material Rate.
- Add New Material window will open.
- Specify the details of the added material and save.
Material: New Material for this service.
Billing Unit: Material billing unit of measure.
Effective Date: Date the rate becomes effective for this material on this site.
Rate Type: Fixed or Variable. See Market Rate Maintenance for more details on Variable rates.
Rate: Rate to be charged for this material for fixed rate types.
Facility: All or specified facility. If all is selected, this will be the rate charged for this material regardless of the site. If a facility is selected, this rate will only be charged at the selected facility.
Weight Cap: Minimum or Maximum to be used with constraint.
Constraint: Number entered will be used with the Weight Cap minimum or maximum. For instance Minimum 10.00 with a billing unit of Cubic Yards will charge a minimum of 10 cubic yards.
Invoice Description: Text field will print on the customer invoice in place of the material description.
Preview Material Rates will produce a Material Rate Details report and include all current, future and historic rates, weight caps, constraints, etc... associated with the service.
